MEET THE DOCTOR
Dr. Cynthia Young is a top graduate of the renowned Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC and has been practicing dentistry for over 5 years. Prior to attending dental school, she completed a B.S. degree in Molecular Cell Biology from UCLA . She harbors much passion for the underserved populations and has gained much experience from her work with underserved children and adults. For the past 4 years, she has been an active leader with many organizations which serves the underprivileged populations domestic and to the far reaches of the world including Mexico, Honduras, Colombia, Guatemala, and Kenya.
Dr. Young grew up in Livermore, CA which is why she decided to establish her practice in the East Bay Area. She loves her community and enjoys a variety of things and activities such as going to First Wednesdays in Pleasanton, hiking, and working on her philanthropic project, 1000SMILES PROJECT.
In her free time, Dr. Young enjoys making custom cookies (check out her instagram @cynfull.sweets) and spending time with her husband. She also has a plot of land in a community garden where she is growing a growing a wide array of organic veggies.
Dr. Young believes in the principles and practices of conservative dental treatments. She stays up to date with the latest technologies and strives to only bring the best of everything to her patients. She is proudly serving as a part-time UCSF Dental School Assistant Professor which allows her to be at the forefront of new treatments and technologies. She is passionate about her profession and believes that education of her patients is the most important key. One of her favorite sayings is, "“The power of a smile is such that even drawing a happy face on a piece of paper makes your lips turn up.”

MADDIE LONG
Hi, I’m Maddie and I have been with Sustainable Smiles since July 2018 and I love working here and getting to know all the patients! I have lived all around the Bay Area and I moved to Dublin in 2018. When I am not in the office, I enjoy walking my Great Dane, Betty, playing video games like Zelda, The Witcher 3, and Harvest Moon. I love talking about all kinds of movies, music, and Crocs (I have 3 pairs). I have always had a great sense of humor and I love making people laugh and feel comfortable! I really enjoy working with people and getting to know all the wonderful patients that come to our office! I hope to meet you soon!

BIANCA HILL
Hi my name is Bianca and I am 23 years old and I currently attend UC Berkeley. I am majoring in Integrative Human Biology and plan on becoming a dentist like Dr. Young in the future! Outside of work, I love to spend time with family and my two kitties, Mack and Royal. I also enjoy cooking, baking, and spending time with my new husband! I have a a huge sweet tooth and my favorite dessert is cheesecake. I love working at Sustainable Smiles and I can’t wait to meet all of the amazing patients!
